Description of Significance CONSTRUCTED IN 1893, THE MENNOVILLE CHURCH IS THE OLDEST EXISTING STRUCTURE PERTAINING TO THE MENNONITE FAITH IN WHAT IS NOW OKLAHOMA. MENNONITES MOVED FROM BERNE, INDIANA, TO SETTLE IN THE NEW TERRITORY AND TO PROVIDE MISSIONARIES TO THE CHEYENNE & ARAPAHO TRIBES. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 10/4/79. MOVED INTO EL RENO 1997.
